How our score is built
The score rates a provider's overall offer from 0 to 100. It is calculated every day by fixed rules from plan data, user ratings and documented customer problems, the same rules for every provider; it is not a lab test. Affiliate commissions play no part in it.
Frequently asked questions
How does eSIM Rankings make money?
Through affiliate links and promo codes: if you buy through one of our links we may earn a commission, and the price for you stays the same. Affiliate links are marked. The ranking is determined by our score alone — a provider that pays nothing is ranked by exactly the same rules.
Do you test every eSIM yourselves?
No. We do not run lab or network tests. The score is calculated every day by fixed rules, the same for every provider: from the plan data of all providers (price, coverage, plan terms, transparency), from user ratings on the App Store, Trustpilot and Google Play, and from documented practices at customers' expense. The methodology page explains every step.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most smartphones from 2018/2019 onwards do — iPhone XS or newer, Pixel 3 or newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer. Dial *#06#: if an EID number appears, your phone is eSIM-ready.
What does “unlimited” really mean?
Many providers throttle to a lower speed after a daily fair-use allowance, often 1–3 GB. Where the provider publishes that limit, we show it on the plan, so you can see it before you click through.
How current are the prices?
Prices come from the provider's shop or its plan feed. Feed prices are refreshed daily, and every plan shows when it was last checked. Always confirm the final price at the provider's checkout.
