Yoho Mobile review: prices, plan builder, unlimited limits, coverage and ratings of the Singapore travel eSIM

Yoho Mobile review: how its prices compare in 20 destinations, what the unlimited plans really include, coverage, terms and what users say in the ratings.

Guides · 16 October 2026 · 8 min read

Is Yoho Mobile worth it? On price, clearly yes: in the 20 popular destinations we compared for this review, its 5 GB plans were always among the cheapest, and for Asia and global plans it was the cheapest provider in our database. The weak points are elsewhere. Its unlimited plans allow only 1 GB a day at full speed, and its user ratings on Trustpilot and Google Play are below average. This Yoho Mobile review looks at the 1,326 Yoho plans in our database, explains how the plan builder works, and shows who Yoho suits and when another provider is the better choice.

Yoho Mobile at a glance: our verdict

Yoho Mobile is run by Yoho Mobile Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore in 2022. It sells data-only travel eSIMs for 178 countries in our database, both single-country plans and regional plans for Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and Oceania, plus global plans.

  • Prices: among the lowest in our database for fixed data plans, especially for Asia and multi-country trips.
  • Plan choice: a plan builder on the website suggests plans for your exact number of days and amount of data.
  • Terms: hotspot allowed on every plan in our database, most plans can be topped up, no subscriptions.
  • Unlimited: cheap, but almost always limited to 1 GB a day at full speed.
  • Ratings: mixed. The App Store rating is high, Trustpilot and Google Play are clearly lower.

When we wrote this review in October 2026, Yoho Mobile had one of the highest scores in our ranking, 81 out of 100. The score is driven by prices, coverage and terms; the user ratings are its weakest part. You can see the current score and all plans on the Yoho Mobile provider page.

Yoho Mobile prices: how they compare

Yoho does not publish one fixed price list. On its website you choose your destination, the number of days and how much data you need, and the plan builder shows up to three matching plans. Our database holds a selection of these plans: we query the builder every day for typical combinations, from 1 GB to 50 GB and unlimited, mostly for 7 and 30 days. That is how the 1,326 plans in our data come about. On the Yoho website you can also get plans for other durations.

For this review we compared the cheapest 5 GB plan with 7 to 30 days of validity in 20 popular destinations and regions, from the USA and Japan to Europe, Asia and global plans. In every one of them, Yoho was among the eight cheapest of the up to 38 providers that offer such a plan. Its price was typically less than half of the median price for the same destination. For 5 GB on Asia and global plans, Yoho was the cheapest of all providers.

The table below shows the cheapest Asia plans in our database for each data amount, from all providers; it is updated every day:

Yoho Mobile unlimited plans: cheap, but with a low daily limit

Yoho has 157 unlimited plans in our database. Their prices are low: for 7-day unlimited plans, Yoho typically cost about a fifth of the median price of other providers in the same destinations. The reason is the daily limit. Almost all Yoho unlimited plans include 1 GB a day at full speed; after that, the speed drops to 128 kbps or to a reduced speed for the rest of the day.

1 GB a day covers maps, messaging, social media and some browsing. It is not enough for regular video calls, streaming or working on a laptop through a hotspot. At 128 kbps, only messaging works reliably. A few Yoho unlimited plans, for example for Japan and Thailand, are sold without this daily limit; the plan details on the Yoho website say which.

For comparison, here are the cheapest unlimited plans for Japan from all providers in our database, with their daily limits:

“Unlimited” plans slow down after a daily full-speed allowance; the right column only counts plans that state at least 2 GB per day. Prices checked daily, last check 2 November 2026.

If you need more than 1 GB a day, compare the full-speed allowance before the price. Our guide to unlimited eSIMs explains what the different limits mean in practice.

Coverage, networks and regional plans

Yoho plans cover 178 countries in our database. About 1,040 of the plans are for a single country, and about 290 are regional or global. Most regional plans are for Asia, followed by global plans and plans for Europe, North America, Africa, South America and Oceania.

Yoho names the mobile network for each country of a plan, and about 63 % of its plans in our database state 5G. Regional plans differ in how many countries they include, so check the country list before you buy, especially if you combine destinations such as Japan and South Korea or several countries in Southeast Asia. Our guide to regional and global eSIMs explains when a multi-country plan pays off, and the best eSIM for Asia compares the regional plans in detail.

Top-up, hotspot, refunds and other terms

RefundsFor eSIMs that have not been activated, within the period set in Yoho's terms

We found no documented customer problems that would lead to a deduction under our methodology, such as hidden auto-renewals or refusals of justified refunds. Because Yoho has no voice service, keep your home SIM active for calls and text messages; our hotspot guide explains how to share the eSIM connection with a laptop.

What users say: ratings and our score

The user ratings are the clearest weakness. When we checked in early October 2026, Yoho Mobile had these ratings:

SourceRatingNumber of ratings
App Store4.6 / 5about 250
Google Play3.5 / 5about 250
Trustpilot3.1 / 5about 270

Together that is fewer than 800 ratings, far fewer than for the largest travel eSIM brands, and the three sources disagree noticeably. In our score, the user ratings count for 25 of 100 points, weighted by the number of ratings, and this is where Yoho scores below the median of all providers. Its high overall score comes from the other parts: prices, coverage, terms and transparency.

What this means for you: Yoho's prices are a strong argument, but the ratings suggest that experiences vary. Read recent reviews if support and reliability matter more to you than the lowest price, and plan a fallback for the first hours after landing, such as airport Wi-Fi.

How to buy and set up a Yoho Mobile eSIM

  1. Check that your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to your carrier: how to check eSIM compatibility.
  2. Enter your destination, days and data amount in the plan builder on the Yoho website or app, and compare the result with the Yoho plans in our database. Look at our promo codes first.
  3. Install the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi: on iPhone or on Android.
  4. Check in the plan details when the validity starts, and read when to activate an eSIM.
  5. After landing, switch mobile data to the Yoho eSIM and turn on data roaming for it.

Who Yoho Mobile suits, and when to look elsewhere

Yoho is a good choice if you want a low price for a fixed amount of data, travel through several countries in Asia, or need a global plan for a multi-country trip. It also suits light users who are happy with 1 GB a day on an unlimited plan.

Look elsewhere if you need more than 1 GB a day at full speed, stream or work remotely a lot, or put good user ratings and support first. For heavy use, compare unlimited plans with 2 GB a day or more. Our reviews of Saily and Yesim show two providers with other strengths, and our destination pages, such as Japan or Asia, compare all providers with daily-updated prices.

We found no documented customer problems that lead to a deduction in our score. Its user ratings are mixed: high in the App Store, lower on Trustpilot and Google Play.

Is Yoho Mobile cheap?+

Yes, for fixed data plans. In 20 popular destinations we compared, its cheapest 5 GB plan was always among the eight cheapest of up to 38 providers and typically cost less than half of the median price. For Asia and global plans, Yoho was the cheapest provider in our database.

Does Yoho Mobile have unlimited data?+

Yes, Yoho sells unlimited plans, but almost all of them include only 1 GB a day at full speed. After that, the speed drops to 128 kbps or a reduced speed for the rest of the day. That is enough for maps and messaging, but not for streaming or video calls.

Yes. All Yoho plans in our database allow hotspot use, so you can share the connection with a laptop or tablet. On unlimited plans, keep the daily full-speed limit of usually 1 GB in mind.

No. Yoho eSIMs are data only and do not include calls or SMS. You can use internet apps such as WhatsApp, and keep your home SIM active for normal calls and text messages.

Can I get a refund from Yoho Mobile?+

Yoho's terms allow refunds for eSIMs that have not been activated, within a set period after purchase. Once the eSIM is installed and has connected, a refund is usually no longer possible, so check the current terms before you buy.
